New Super Luigi U review

NEW SUPER LUIGI U
DEVELOPER: NINTENDO
PUBLISHER: NINTENDO
PLATFORM(S): WII U
PRICE: $20 (with Mario U) $30 (standalone boxed edition)

**WARNING AWFUL ENGLISH**

So new super luigi u. I just spent 14 hours straight playing through this game to 100% with just bathroom breaks and a dinner break. Since this is an expanison (expandalone if you have the boxed edition) and most of it is identical to New Super Mario Bros U, I will be changing my review format into: Whats the same, Whats Diffrent, Pros and Cons. Now onto the review.

Whats the same: The Graphics are still beautiful, the hub world is still the same, music is still the same, the bosses are still the same, the gameplay is the same, 4 player co op, world 9, and more obvious similarities

Whats Diffrent: Nabbit, No Mario (duh), Luigi as main character, New Levels, short levels, 100 second time limit, more difficult (not by that much), less life hogging (Its not as easy to get lives; you wont get 99 lives by the end of the second world), no boost rush and challenge modes and hidden luigi sprites.

Pros: The game is extremely addicting, The levels are more creative this time, Luigi's psychics are awesome to play with-you wont want to go back to mario u's psychics, The shorter levels can be more exciting to go through, game is slightly more challenging

Cons: Nabbit breaks the game, shorter than mario u, no boost rush and challenge modes, the 100 seconds breaks exploration through the levels, star coins aren't as cleverly placed, 4 player co op is still impossible to control, and having the same hub world is sooooooooooooo disappointing, though we've known about it for a while. It just doesn't feel right.

The Verdict: This is a great game and I would recommend it for both $20 and $30.

8.5/10- great game and defiantly a must buy if you have a wii u

New Super Mario Bros U review

NEW SUPER MARIO BROS U REVIEW
DEVELOPER: NINTENDO
PUBLISHER: NINTENDO
PLATFORM(S):WII U

**WARNING AWFUL ENGLISH**

So I'm doing this review less than 3 hours before Luigi U comes out. Don't worry I'll get that right when it comes out and review it. But for now lets look at this game. It came out at the launch of the wii u and I bought it in December along with a wii u. Anyways lets jump into the review

Story: Peach is trapped in her castle (huh) and the Mario gang are thrown backwards and have to travel through 8 worlds to rescue peach.

Gameplay: Its mario just like you expect him. No major changes. One thing in the new mario bros series is that all the characters play the same. That kinda annoys me. Some new things are that now there is a Challenge and Boost Rush mode. Both are really fun and you can spend a long time in them!

Multiplayer: The 4 player co op is just like the wii version. PURE CHAOS! The gamepad player cant really do much though, and it sucks that there couldn't be 5 player with someone on the gamepad but that would probably get too chaotic. Still local only too.

Music: The music isn't new but its still fun. I don't have any problem with it.

Graphics: The graphics are great! My favorite part about the graphics is the lighting near something like fire! It looks really beautiful!

Replay Value: There is a lot of replay value if you want to get all the star coins in the main game, but the most replay value is out of the boost rush and challenge modes. Anyways a lot of replay value here.

The Verdict: While the main mode is nothing new the boost rush and challenge modes were enough to keep this game from feeling like the same game as the wii game. Its a fun, but safe game. I'd recommend it to any wii u owner. Then again its one of the only great games on wii u.

Score: 8/10-Safe, but great

Poker Night at the Inventory Review

POKER NIGHT AT THE INVENTORY REVIEW
DEVELOPER: TELLTALE
PUBLISHER: TELLTALE
PLATFORM(S):MAC/PC

**warning awful English**

Ahh Poker Night at the Inventory! I love this game so much! Anyway no more time to waste lets hop into the review!

Story: Uhh. Its poker. You find an underground poker club and sit down at a table. At that table Strong Bad, Max, Tycho, and the Heavy are all playing a game of poker. That's it. Nice try, you aren't gonna find any story here!

Humor: This game has a lot of humor. All the characters are driven by their personalities in their own games! They have conversations and its just a fun chill style humor. Nothing made me laugh out loud but its really enjoyable.

Audio: The voice acting is perfect for every character and the audio quality is spot on too! The dialogue starts repeating FAST though.

Gameplay: Well its No Limit-Texas Hold 'em. There are near no options besides making the computer slightly harder. One thing to spice things up for TF2 players is that the characters at the buy in will sometimes use items instead of cash. If you can bust those players out then you get their item to use in TF2.

Replay Value: Well as stated above trying to get items in TF2 will be a fun ride to some people, there are also achievements to collect. But how much time you spend in the game really depends on how much you enjoy the poker and if you are okay with repeating dialogue. Most people spend about 2-4 hours in the game though I've spent over 10.

Verdict: Overall its a fun game. I wont give this a score, since I belive the review talks for itself and certain people will enjoy the game more than others, I just really love this game.
Sam and Max the Devils Playhouse: Episode 1 The Penal Zone review

*WARNING AWFUL ENGLISH*

This is the first episode in the 5 episode series of Sam and Max the Devils Playhouse which is the third season of telltale games Sam and Max series.

Plot: You have to stop skunkape from destroying earth by trapping him in the penal zone. The plot may sound simple but it gets very intresting and I really enjoyed it. It makes you want to keep on playing the game to solve the mystery.

Humor: I loved this aspect of the game. It had a lot of laugh out loud moments like when you can use a ring to propose to max.... sort of and when you try to read "the brains" mind.

Audio: The audio quality and Voice Actors are perfect! The voice actors give their all and really feel like they got sucked into their characters. They felt like they loved voice acting these characters and were having fun with it. It was great.

Graphics: The graphics were great for this sort of game. Nice and cartoony. One thing I didnt like though was how the game felt like the screen was grainy. But when you get past that this game is beautiful.

Gameplay: Its a point and click but it adds in some intresting elements such as the toys of power and the scanner. Great gameplay

Replay Value: This game took me around 3 hours. Its  a point and click so no replay value here.

The Verdict: I loved this game. Great humor great graphics perfect voice actors and sound quality, great gameplay and an amazing sense of humor make this a must buy.
I give it an 8.9/10

Hector Episode 1 review

Hector Episode 1 Review

**Warning: Awful English**
Alright so this is the first episode in the three episode series of the hector games. This was done by Straandlooper and episodes 2 and 3 were done by telltale games. With that out of the way on with the review.
Story: Your a police-man named hector and you have to do 3 tasks for a mysterious murderer who is attacking the T.W.A.T. team. Simple story-I think it works well.
Humor: This game is supposed to be humorous but I'm not for this kind of humor. The game defiantly is British but it feels like it was written by an american trying to write like a brit. The humor is basically tons of sex jokes and toilet humor. Not my style, I prefer stuff like Sam and Max or Monkey Island. I loved Brutal Legend too for its humor.
Graphics: Now this is mixed. The artstyle is nice and simple and it definantly works. I have one major flaw with it though. Unless you play at 1024x768 the game is forced to a 4:3 border no matter what resolution you pick. that can get annoying. Otherwise this game is fine
Audio: This is one of the games worst points. The audio quality varies constantly. In the cutscenes it sounds good but in the beggining of the game in particular the voice acting is low quality. I also dont think the actor for hector puts in enough effort. He always sounds bored. Look at something like sam and max. Try telling me sam and max sound bored. Sure stinky sounds bored but thats her personality and that makes sence for that character. I cant think of a single actor in this game that sounded like they gave it their all.
Gameplay: Its a point and click. there isnt much to say here. Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles.
Replay Value: The game took me only 87 minutes and since its a point and click once you beat it you wont want to go back as its pointless.
The Verdict: The game is short, the gameplay is a typical point and click, the audio is bad. The voice actors dont give enough effort, the game is stuck at 4:3 unless your playing in 1024x768 and the game tries to be so crue that it gets unfun and annoying.
I give this game a 4/10 with the title of play a diffrent point and click, this one isnt worth the effort.
